Alberton - Award‑Winning Community Housing

Partners: 720 Modular & Canadian Mental Health Association
Location: Alberton, PEI
Project Duration: 11 months

The Alberton Modular Housing project is an award‑winning affordable housing development delivered in partnership with 720 Modular and the Canadian Mental Health Association in Alberton, Prince Edward Island. Designed to support independent living and community connection, this project demonstrates how modular construction can deliver high‑quality, purpose‑built housing tailored to evolving social needs.

This two‑storey building, totaling approximately 6,146 sq. ft. over an unfinished crawl space, includes 10 thoughtfully designed studio and one‑bedroom units, along with shared amenities such as a common laundry area and a 450 sq. ft. office space. The design balances private living areas with functional communal spaces, supporting both comfort and accessibility for residents.

By combining thoughtful design with efficient modular delivery, the Alberton project highlights how innovative building solutions can support community‑focused housing initiatives. As an award‑winning development, it stands as a strong example of how modular construction can deliver durable, cost‑effective housing that enhances quality of life while maintaining high standards for safety, performance, and livability.
